Weyrick Lumber Company in Lompoc was for many years known locally as Moore Mill & Lumber.
Moore Mill & Lumber was established in 1946 by Mr Lloyd Moore and his wife Laila. Over the years, they made the business successful by providing the local service, hardware, and building materials needed in the small, but growing town of Lompoc.
In 1958 tragedy struck the little town of Lompoc when Mr.Lloyd Moore and two other prominent businessmen were killed in a plane crash. This left Laila Moore and her two sons’s to run the business. In 1983 Laila's son, Fred Moore, and his wife Alberta took over the business, as it continued to grow and serve the people of the surrounding community.
Weyrick Lumber Companies purchased Moore Mill & Lumber in January of 2003, and the company and its employees have worked hard to maintain and preserve the small town hospitality and customer service that it started with over 60 years ago, while at the same time expanding operations to better serve the rapidly growing community by bringing the full service lumber and building materials business model to Lompoc that Weyrick Companies is known for throughout the industry.
Weyrick Lumber in Lompoc serves Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
